How do I find buyers

Since buying and selling websites is new, people look anywhere and everywhere for buyers and sellers.

In my experience I have had the best luck posting my sites for sale in online website marketplaces. But ever since buying websites got popular the price of posting a site for sale has gotten pretty expensive. Even if you don't find a buyer they charge high prices. And that is why I decided to start this site. You can post your website for sale here for FREE.

Other places to sell besides HowWebsites.com

- Ebay is always a good option and lots of sites are sold there.

- Craigslist is pretty good but since you can only search for a specific location it doesn't work that well for broad websites.

- Websitebroker.com is good. It cost's about $10 and generates quite a bit of traffic.

- Buysellwebsite.com is good too but they are really expensive now. $59 for two weeks! That's outrageous.

Niche Websites

If you have a niche website and you know exactly who your competitors are and who is interested in getting into your niche you could just take the old fashioned approach and call or send emails. I have had success with this but it's a tough route to go and then the negotiations are even harder because you seem a little desperate.
